Would it be weird to date someone your family used to be friends with as kids? Short story?

Long story short but I've matched with someone on bumble and it happens to be one of my family friends. Our parents were very tight back in the day. My sisters played with his siblings.

Ive technically never met the guy because i was probably 3 years old and he was 6 years old. Now that we're older, I'm 25 and he's 28 , we've had our first "date" 2 weeks ago and had our second on monday. I feel kinda weird about it because our mothers talk to each other still.

Not sure why you feel weird about it. He's not the six year-old you used to know.  He's 28 years old now.

Not weird at all. Lots of people meet their mates through family friends. I think it's weirder to meet through dating websites.
