Where can I vacation like a cowboy?

I'm looking for a place I can vacation with my girlfriend where you can sleep under the stars, not in some hotel. Ride horseback wherever you want to go, go fishing, hiking, etc. Maybe even ride into an old western town. I want it to be sort of a bare minimum experience; living off the land as much as possible. Been looking somewhere around beautiful Montana.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

where you can sleep under the stars

    So many places.

As it can get chilly at night most prefer at least a tent or some other covering. Things like unexpected rain can be a real damper on your nights excitement of cosmic experiences.

go fishing, helps to have the local fishing license lots of places for that.

Ride horseback wherever you want to go. A little harder but vast distances of a day or two in one direction not too difficult to arrange.

Maybe even ride into an old western town.So many towns allow you to ride a horse does not have to be the West this part would be your limiting factor.

Living off the land as much as possible. Doable helps to have a guide or previous experience.

Been looking somewhere around beautiful Montana. Yes a nice state you could find this.

Also possible in many other places. Not that hard to find. A travel Agent could help you.

Shall I just provide a list of places from my google search for your FREE perusal?

A rather large place in Texas about 1,100 sq miles give or take an acre. It is larger than the state of Rhode Island. You do miss out a bit on the riding into town part.

Took five seconds to find it on a search

.For Montana many near Yellowstone National Park. Like in Gardiner MT. a town of less than 1.000. If I need to send a street address you are not much of a hunter to survive on your own.

I don't know but I imagine there's something like this out there, basically maybe a campground will be closer to living in the wilderness you know and campgrounds usually have actives that go along with them. But when in doubt, you could always make a Minecraft server and build your own western town, you're girlfriend will have to make an account too and you'd both be on your multiplayer server. You're welcome! & Yeehaw!
