When do I get my new Staywell Medicaid insurance card?
Florida Medicaid has changed my insurance several times. Now they are changing it again. On January 1 they are going to change it to Staywell. I still haven t gotten my new card or a welcome letter. I have a prescription that is due soon. I may not get it in time.

Welfare coverage is notorious for delays, especially this time of year. However, Staywell is part of WellCare so as soon as they receive word of your enrollment from the welfare department they'll start the processing. It'll take them about 7 to 10 business days from the day they receive notice.
You should call Staywell; only they will know an expected date for you to receive the information. Even if you don't receive it prior to January 1 they'll tell you over the phone the numbers you'll need to get your prescription.
