Christians: Would you kill if your 'god' ordered you to?

Before you try the cop-out of "he wouldn't ask that," it wouldn't be different to some of the acts (albeit fictional) from your cult book.

Update:

Funny how the believers haven't got the guts to answer the question honestly, eh? Just goes to show what you're dealing with.

Too late, God told us to carry a sword in Luke 22. God Ordered killing by His Followers for anyone that tries to murder with a weapon in Rev 13 and again when we ID the "Whore" in Rev 18. Also, if one has an intruder, in Mat 24. If one believes, still in the Old Testament, one has been ordered to kill the murderer in all situations in Numbers 35, and Genesis 9.

Yes. Abraham was told by God to kill his son, and he had every intention of doing so.

As a wise man said: "For everything there is a time and place." and also a way which is correct.

The issue becomes when is the right time, place, way to kill and who is to be killed.

"Putting ourselves to death (in baptism) we are resurrected as new men"

Which means I am ordered to kill myself in a way and to the best of my ability I have.

Until a Christian figuratively kills themselves (in the act of baptism) they have not actually done what is commanded.

Nope. I would have to point out the "No kill" commandment. It doesn't say don't kill unless I say so. It is pretty straight forward.

Source(s): Huamns kill not God. God allows us to have our wars because that is what we want

All you want to do is argue so why give an answer. But you said there is a God to start with and then in a comment you said fictional character, you can't have it both ways.

As I said, all you want to do is argue so what is the point? Why give any kind of answer as you will make it into what you want it to be, now isn't that funny.

If you only understood how righteous God is - you wouldn't even ask such a question.

I can only advise you - do not be an enemy of God because what God says goes and nothing and nobody can turn back His hand to achieve His purposes.

I mention this because anyone who makes themselves an enemy of God will perish eternally and all workers of iniquity will be scattered (Psalm 92:9)

God knows nothing of death, only eternal life. God's in heaven, not on earth where we think death is real.
