Would you have recommendations for movers within California for a long distance move?

If you're going out of state, good luck. There's a premium cost for moving out of California because of the exodus the competition for spaces with these providers is fierce. It now costs about 10x to take a U-Haul out of the state as it does to rent one elsewhere for return to CA. They simply can't get their vehicles back because so many people are bailing on the "Golden State".

Moved from LA to Sac.

Moving costs ranged from $3K to $4K.

i wouldn't move because of the cost of moving and because of the weather in other states compared to california

people always say the cost of living is cheaper in other states but that's not always true. the apartments and houses are cheaper but the utilities are higher and jobs pay less.
