Theres no such thing as an "emergency" vasectomy... Or even an "emergency" castration. A dog that has been neutered or had a vasectomy can still potentially impregnate a female for a few weeks after the surgery.. He may have some residual sperm still in the plumbing.
Vasectomies also entail a follow up to ensure that the procedure was successful.
If you're in an "emergency" situation to prevent a pregnancy, you need to spay the female or find a way to keep them separated.
A vasectomy is more invasive and more expensive. With castration its just a slit in the scrotum, pop the testes out and sever them... The procedure takes minutes.
To do a vasectomy, its a DEEPER incision to get to the vas deferens to sever and cauterize it.... Its a little more complicated.

● "My dog needs an amergency vasectomy hwere can i getit done how much does it cost??"
"amergency" ? "hwere" ? "i" ? "getit" ?
The best I can make from that lot is 3 sentences, punctuated & spelt as:
◊ "My dog needs an emergency vasectomy. Where can I get it done? How much does it cost?"
🤢1: There is no such thing as an EMERGENCY vasectomy. Neither removing a male's testicles nor cutting (or tying a knot in) his vas deferens AFTER he has mated a female of the same species will result in his semen NOT fertilising the partner's ova. Any male dog with a competent owner should NOT be neutered until after the growth plates in his various leg bones have received the hormonal signal to synchronise the moment at which they all stop adding length to their part of their bone. A vasectomy does leave the gonads intact but, as I stated, there is no such thing as an EMERGENCY to have it done. I won't bother asking where your dog is accommodated while you are doing your version of school-work or the family is away shopping or visiting friends.
🤢2: At any veterinary clinic where a qualified veterinary surgeon is willing to perform a vasectomy.
🤯3: As you haven't had the brains to tell us WHERE you are (it seems that your age & home-schooling have not yet enabled you to realise just how much "world" there is! And that fees vary from place to place), there is no point in us trying to find out what your district's vets charge. But there is a VERY simple way for YOU to find out during "clinic hours".
As the normal reason for preferring a vasectomy rather than a castration is so that it can be reversed later in life, I would imagine that the cutting & tying & suturing is more finicky - and therefore time-consuming - than a routine castration, so would be more expensive. Probably about as much as removing a testicle that has been retained in the abdomen instead of descending into the scrotum.

"i" ? "dont" ? "littler" ? "don t" ? "thepouppies" ? "i" ? "dont" ? "castaration" ? "cani" ? "cheapter" ? "i" ? "vey" ? "ot" ? "i" ?
The best I can make from that lot is 4 sentences, punctuated & spelt as:
◊ "I don't want to have the puppies in a litter because we don't have money for the puppies. But I also don't want to blow the wallet spending money for full castration. Can I get a vasectomy done cheaper than the full castration? And do I need to see a vet ot can I do it myself??"
🤢4: A MALE doesn't have the puppies - he merely fertilises the ova. The FEMALE does all the work during gestation + birthing + feeding-&-warming-&-cleaning-&-rearing. Therefore the owner of the bỉtch is the person responsible for the costs of a litter, and is who enjoys any surplus income from re-homing the pups when they are old enough & healthy enough & a suitable buyer is found.
🤢5: Whose wallet are you worrying about? YOU don't have an adequate income to fund a breeding operation, or even your own dog. And where on EARTH do you get the idea that a castration is more expensive than a vasectomy? And as you are a pre-teen, you don't have the right to instruct a vet what surgery to perform.
🤢6: You've already asked THAT, as 🤯3 in the first section. And so I've already explained why WE cannot answer it.
🤢7: What❔❗️❓ A pre-teen child perform a vasectomy? Not even an adult WITHOUT a medical certificate is allowed to perform any kind of surgery.
Although back in the "Dark Ages" there were "ball biters" aka "testicle biters" who used their teeth to neuter rams and male dogs, a check will indicate that teeth were used to HOLD the testicles and pull them further out of the knife-opened scrotum to make it easier to cut the vas deferens, NOT to bite through the vas deferens. People tend to have only 2 hands - one of which is needed to hold the animal (or at least its scrotum) still, and one to hold the knife.... Which makes it rather difficult to get the testes far enough out of the scrotum to expose the vas deferens!
Personally, [Ralph], I think you should:
(1) take your medication,
(2) SLOW DOWN (10 questions + 29 answers in 1 - maybe 1½ - days is ridiculous and frivolous) then
(3) develop enough self-pride to compose your questions & answers in a top-ranked word processor with its GRAMMAR-&-SPELL-checker ON, and CHECK the composition before copy-&-pasting it into Y!A. Your mother (or who-ever tries to home-school you) is failing abysmally.
I sure hope that English isn't your main language! At my main school, (where 45% of the students were either born on a Polynesian island or their parents were, 36% were Māori, 7% were Asian or other ethnic groups, leaving only 12% who were Pākehā aka "palefaces" from European ancestry so were likely to have parents competent in English) I expected far better punctuation & spelling from 9 & 10 year old pupils despite their often limited exposure to English (one of my pupils arrived straight from the islands with not a word of English. Luckily in my syndicate she had relatives I could call on when a translation was essential), plus we had a teacher-aide who was delegated to schedule at least an hour a week walking her around the grounds and telling her where such as the toilets were, and the English word for each thing they saw).
Although Y!A has its spell-checker permanently ON, you ignored all the places it red-lined your typing. And Y!A has no grammar checker, no way to identify wrong words that are correctly spelt. But literate HUMANS do!
For
you typed the gibberish:
◊ "i think alternative fuel vehicles didnt obama found thises? i dont know im only <13"
I'd thought people under 13 were not allowed in Yahoo, but
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN5679.html
showed me otherwise.

I think you should be the one getting the vasectomy. Don't ever pass on your stupidity to the next generation!

You are walking proof that home schooling does not work, particularly when a learning disability is involved. You can't figure out how to get on a bus, but you are going to perform a vasectomy on a dog?
Laughable.
"Why is homeshcool so much better than regstlarschool? i have friend in regular school but all most homeschool friends are much smater why is that?"

Vasectomy is actually a lot more expensive to do then a regular castration. The problem with doing a vasectomy vs. a castration is the male dog will still act and think like a breeding male - its just he cannot get a female pregnant.
You will still have the bad habits of mounting females in heat, marking, and more aggression of mounting with people.

You obviously do not know what a vasectomy is, do you?
A vasectomy would cost a lot more than a Neutering.
do not do it your self PLEASE get it neutered its usually cheap and male dogs don't have puppies but getting neutered will decrease the chance of testicular cancer
- Anonymous2 years ago
Males don't have puppies.

Or you could just be a totally responsible owner and make sure he doesn't get near any b*tch when they're in heat.... you know... what normal people do.

Wow. The whole internet at your disposal and you ask this here.
Vasectomy is more expensive than a simple castration.
Vets also have the option of several drugs that can chemically castrate a dog for months. Perhaps longer.
Most animal shelters will discounts for neutering a dog - you should ask. The local animal shelter will also know which vet in your area is the least expensive.
You cant do this at home.
