The next year is 2019.
The next election is 2020.
Sanders is too old. Biden would not do well against Trump. Liberals need to find someone that will unite their party and not split it. I expect it will be someone much younger and new to politics - like Obama was.

The better candidate should ,and will, be elected by the will of the people according to all the laws and regulations of the United States. Who that may be will only be known after the election is completed.

Not Trump. Anyone else would be better. Besides, he'll be gone by then - he'll take himself off the ballot to avoid losing big time, resign in disgrace with a pardon from Pence, be impeached, die from natural causes, or be taken out by one of his more unbalanced MAGA cultist idiots.
