Is craving for something sweet a sign of low blood sugar?

No. It's just craving something sweet, that's all. If you are diabetic though, you should test your blood glucose and see what the read is. The two times I desperately craved anything "sweet", including fruit--all the stuff I don't normally keep in hand at home, I was suffering from food poisoning for a week and hadn't eaten much so was going through a period of low blood sugar and needed to take in some glucose (drank the liquid from a canned fruit tin, not good but it got me up enough to eat a sandwich).

No, not always. Your hormones effect your emotions. Used to crave chocolate, and my blood sugar was not low.
There are some very sweet things I do not like. Petit fores us one if them. The icing is sugar.
Sometimes I crave sweet things when my blood sugar is high.

No, its just a sugar addiction. I am type 2 diabetic and don't have low sugar levels but I do crave something sweet a lot of the time and probably because I had a bad diet of sweet things before I was diagnosed with type 2 about 10 years ago.

It might be. You could also just a have a sugar addiction which is a real thing.

Not necessarily, it could just be a psychological craving, not a biological one.
