getting death cert back from lawyer?

Update:

i gave my lawyer an original death certificate from another country. i need to borrow it back. does anyone know if they are able to let me do that? im asking here because i think it costs money just to ask a lawyer a question about anything

    Of course it's your property. Ask for it. It's theft if they don't return it.

    Tell them you want the original back. They can make a copy of it for their records.

    Just ask for it, it is your property. Phone their Secretary.
