Why won't Yahoo do anything about the annoying spam answers?

Yahoo's only goal is to make money and if Chinese bots make many accounts it looks like there's more users.
That's partially why Yahoo won't suspend the accounts of frequent abusers. Such as, those who harass people many times a day and racists or those posting death threats.
I lost a level 7 account that I had for over a decade and they also disabled my email (Many valuable emails now lost) and all I did was start to yell at Yahoo workers for not suspending the accounts of racists. I could sort of understand if they banned me from Y!A but I did nothing wrong with my email account.
Do not keep anything of value in your yahoo mail. Try gmail or something else.

Oath is said to be working on fixing the problem. All the users can do is report them (if you feel compelled to), ignore them, or take a break from the site until they're gone. The Chinese-appearing language spam bot attack last spring took Oath weeks to get stopped.

they might be working on it but for the time being all you can do is ignore or report them

several possibilities Verizon/Oath doesn't do anything
- they don't know what
- they don't have the personnel
- they don't have the financing of that personnel (have to pamper those CEO's in capitalism)

Yahoo cannot do anything because Yahoo Inc. no lo ger exists. Verizon /Oath has owned YA for almost 28 months. Last time it took Verizon .ore than three months to do something..
This is only week 2.

Yahoo has maybe one employee, possibly fewer, dedicated to keeping Yahoo Answers going correctly. That person is still away, at home, for the holidays. We will probably have to wait until after Groundhog Day.
Here is a proposed schedule:
Groundhog Day 2019 - bots still active.
Groundhog Day 2020 - bots still active.
Groundhog Day 2021 - bots still active.
Groundhog Day 2022 - Yahoo recognizes problem.
Groundhog Day 2022 - Yahoo out of business.

May not be that easy.
