Is there a mythological creature like a centaur except instead of a horse bottom half, it's a bird?

I keep having dreams about a man with, for lack of better words, a chicken body and human head and torso. He always comes to me and says "Do what must be done" before flying away

I've never heard of a creature like this. Is there one? If so, what is the symbolism behind him?

The word for that is 'chimera', so do a search for "half-bird chimera" and see what you come up with. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-a...

Almost sounds like a harpies from Greek mythology, but those are usually female. A spinx is also sometimes depicted with wings.

I don't know if there is one that fits that exact description but there are two mythological creature, called a cockatrice and a basilisk, which are half bird and half dragon. The hippogriff is a half-bird, half-horse creature.
