First period on birth Control?
I’m just about done with my first month of birth control. After I take my pill today I will begin on the. Brown pills tomorrow. I got my period yesterday and I wanted to know how it will be on birth control. Will it make me bleed longer? Will it stop my cramps?

The normal pattern on birth control is to get light bleeding during the time that you are not taking the active pills but when you first start it may take a while for this pattern to become fully established. Start the active pills again on time whether you are bleeding or not.

Most women get shorter, lighter and less painful periods while they are on the pill. It may take a few months for your body to fully adjust.

It can change your period in many ways or not at all. You'll have to wait and see.

It should help with the cramps, but your period shouldn't have started until a day or two after you start the placebo pills. They shouldn't make you bleed longer.
