Why would anyone think that another shutdown would end any different than this one? Democrats "won" this shutdown. They gave up nothing and got the government reopened. If anything, they will be in a stronger position if and when Trump shuts down the government again. Trump has less support, in general and on the issue of a shutdown, than he did when he started this one. A new shutdown is going to end the same way this one did: with Trump accepting the reality that he's not going to get whatever he wants.
