Is it possible to feel pain in a dream?

So I had a dream my friend pushed me into a teacher last night, she fell on top of me and I felt a very sharp pain in my rib, like I’d broken it. But normally if I fall over in a dream I don’t feel anything?? Why did I feel pain?

  • this happens to me, when i have stomach pains like period pains i dream about having pains in my stomach or something happening to my stomach, i dream about being unable to breath when i have a blocked nose so i think what we feel in real like goes into our dreams

We can use all of our senses in dreamland. You may have been in a light sleep, and so the pain seemed very real to you. Just because we can feel the pain doesn't mean we will always feel the pain in a dream. We can smell the morning coffee in dreamland, or hear the kids playing and yelling outside, (if they still do that!). All of our senses can be used by our subconscious minds to weave dreams.

Some people get seizures in dreams so it's possible to feel pain in dreams. I know because it happened to me. I've heard many say they feel physical pain in their dreams but I don't know if it actually happened because non epileptic dreams with other reasons for pain have not happened to me before.
