Do you think he could like me enough to date?

Is he somewhat into me? Or just looking to hookup? We met on an app, and texted all day everyday for a few weeks. We finally met one day after work and it went pretty well! Then we went out again a few weeks later, only for a couple of drinks and then I didn’t hear from him for about a week so I texted him Heyy what’s up and he didn’t respond. About a month later he hit me up again and said he was busy (I know he was living w his family when we first met, and he was talking about how he was getting an apartment with his friends) but within that time we weren’t talking someone else from my past came back into my life and I was talking to him for a few months-so I told the guy I met on the app that. I made a bday post on my bday and he messaged me saying happy bday and asked if I was still seeing the other guy. I wasn seeing the guy from my past anymore so I said I wasn’t. We started to snap chat almost daily and text here and there, including in Xmas eve and Xmas day! We went out before Xmas and he kissed me at the end (first kiss) and asked if I wanted to come inside his place. I said no (because I wasn’t ready yet) and he was totally fine with it. My question is do you think he likes me as a person, but just doesn’t want to date? (Yet?) he told me he wasn’t looking for a relationship when he messaged me on my bday and I asked him what he was looking for. I feel like he’s a prettt genuine nice guy, do you think he likes me enough to consider dating me when he feels ready?
