My rolling chair cannot go over my carpet. It goes under it every time. What can I do?

    i had this problem, and it as annoying. but while the chair mats are obvious solutions, they also aren't exactly cheap. That being said, I bought a, 'vinyl/plastic,' hallway walk mat and laid it down on top of the rug in a horizontal fashion, and place my chair on that. cheap/easy solution.

    Get a thin mat and lay it over the part of the carpet where your chair rolls onto it. Keep a few inches of the mat sticking out beyond the edge of the carpet. Your chair will now roll smoothly over the thin mat and onto the thick carpet.

    Use a plastic mat made for the purpose. Get them from office suppliers.
