what happens if i stopped taking birth control pills with irregular periods?

Will my period go back to normal? Can I get pregnant?

    Your cycles will return to whatever they were before -- if you were irregular, you will be irregular again.

    If you were fertile before, you will be fertile again.

    Yes, slowly your body will adjust to making its own hormones again. You may become fertile.

  • If you're able to you can get pregnant, you may go back to having irregular periods too. Birth control is supposed to help regulate them.

    I have very pain full and heavy periods, taking birth control helps alleviate the symptoms. When I stopped it for a few months, the symptoms came back.
