Why do certain cities just continue to ignore their homeless problem?
They build more and more condos, warehouses, entertainment complexes but squat for better homeless facilities.

They care about profit and not people. Poor people have no money, so building homeless shelters for the poor is a lot less profitable than building condos and entertainment complexes for the wealthy white collar workers and warehouses for their businesses.

WHY?? They wish the problem would just go away. Most won't face the cause of homelessness. Poverty and mental illness. Shelters, low income housing, holiday meals etc won't help. It's easier (and cheaper) to force the homeless population out of town and out of sight. They won't take responsibility or even recognize the problem. Everyone that votes and pays taxes, is happier by ignoring and moving them!! While the problem continues to get worse.

Capitalism.

Good question, another would be. Why under Obama, did more privately run charities that deal with the homeless, shut down, then ever before?

The powers in charge keep their limo windows blacked out so they can't see them. They have walls around their homes so they can't get in. They have guards to rush them away while they're at work. They just can't see a problem.
