What do you do when you are pregnant with a rapist’s child?

Don’t worry about me I’m not raped or anything, I’m just curious. If someone is raped, and they are pregnant, what do they do? If they gave birth, what will happen next?

it's totally up to the woman what she wants to do. I would abort, personally

It depends upon the person. I was raped on my first ever date and became pregnant as a result. I miscarried late in pregnancy. If I hadn't I would have given guardianship of the child to my parents because I was only fifteen.

My friend's older sister was raped by the same man that raped me. Once she discovered she was pregnant she was very open about her plan to put the child up for adoption. Once she held her child for the first time she changed her mind. She raised her daughter on her own, before passing away unexpectedly on her daughter's seventeenth birthday.

You can abort, or you can continue the pregnancy and put the child up for adoption or raise it yourself. Same choices any pregnant woman has. However, there have been some cases of rapists being awarded visitation or shared custody of a child, and very few rapists ever see a day of jail time, so if the rapist gets away with it and then tries to get shared custody it could be an absolute nightmare. For me personally, pregnancy is far too demanding on my health for me to grant unwilling use of my body to a monster's genetic material, so I'd end it at my first opportunity.

    I chose adoption.

As for what happened to the rapist, I filed my police report, there was an investigation, and he was convicted (I was also not the only woman he had raped).

In civilized nations they may opt for an abortion, to carry the pregnancy through to delivery and surrender the baby for adoption, or to parent. It’s up to her.

Nothing particular happens when the baby is born... being conceived of rape doesn’t make a child more difficult to deliver or anything. Most, but not all states, have some statutory protection to allow rape victims not to have to coparent with their rapists, although the system is by no means perfect.

Some choose to abort the baby. Some choose to bring the pregnancy to term and give the baby up for adoption. Others still bring the baby to term and give it a loving home themselves.

It all depends upon the person, their circumstances, their moral and religious convictions, their strength, etc.

There is no one sized fits all answer.
