Yes. He did the feeding miracle twice. The 5000 is famous because it appears in all four Gospels, where the 4000 only appears 2 of them.
Did you know about the feeding of the 100? It occurs in 2 kings

Yes
This is a little bit like asking, “Why are there different look-out points for the Grand Canyon?” The Grand Canyon is simply too large, complex, and majestic to be taken in from one and only one perspective. In the same way, the experience of Jesus is too grand to be limited to one perspective. For this reason, we are blessed to have four Gospels – 4 different perspectives of the experience we call Jesus. Each evangelist tends to focus on a different aspect of the story. Interestingly enough, the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes (aka, The Feeding of the 5000) is the only miracle, other than the Resurrection, to appear in all four Gospels. This is an indication to us of the significance of this story which teaches us that Jesus is the only “food” that can satisfy our “hunger.”

Sure. Are we supposed to be impressed that your favorite book of fiction contains two different imaginary occurrences where your fairy tale sacrificial zombie fed people? Cause we're not.
Are you familiar with the story of stone soup where without miracles or semi-divine intervention everybody gets fed because they all contribute whatever they have.

he first miracle, "Feeding of the 5,000", is reported by all four gospels (Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:31-44; Luke 9:12-17; John 6:1-14).
The second miracle, the "Feeding of the 4,000", with seven loaves of bread and fish, is reported by Matthew 15:32-39 and Mark 8:1-9, but not by Luke or John.

The Republicans are right! Feeding the 4000 just fostered dependency, and they returned with 1000 lazy friends!

Matthew 15:34 tells about his feeding a large crowd.
Jesus has the people recline on the ground. He takes the loaves and the fish, prays to God, and gives them to his disciples to distribute. Amazingly, all eat to satisfaction. The leftovers collected fill seven large provision baskets, even though about 4,000 men, as well as women and children, have eaten!
