Why was the Yahoo Answers mobile app shut down?

I haven't really been able to find anything quite like it. I loved it so much, and then they just shut it down. I know that they gave a warning, a few weeks ahead, but its still sad. Does anyone really know why it was closed?

They never did get it streamlined and working well and my guess is planned to overhaul it at some point, but then the company ended up being put up for sale so all changes/improvements came to a halt. Verizon may or may not ever develop an app for the site (they don't appear to be very interested in YA at all).

It didint work out very well Yahoo has Tried it a Couple of Times and they Never Maintained it well and Users didint want to have a App that was not well Maintained they wanted Yahoo to take it down if they were not gonna Maintain it and so thats what Yahoo has Decided to do

Yahoo is Better off with just Sticking to a Mobile Site instead of the App they have to many Other Issues in Front of them as It is

most users hated it. It was never completely synced. You did not get points for answering questions when you used it. Yahoo created the app when Yahoo was falling apart and the stockholders and investors were revolting. When Verizon bought Yahoo , Verizon was stuck with an outdated app. Verizon terminated Yahoo Messenger last July. It was an outdated app . Verizon said they are going to replace it. They have not said anything about replacing the YA mobile app.

Probably because they couldn't find a way to make money off of it. Few people will install an app and use up the space on their phone if you can just use the internet
