    3X/5 – 2 = X + 1/3

    3X/5 – X = 2 + 1/3

    9X – 15X = 35

    –35 = 6X

    X = –35/6

    3x/5 - 2 = x + 1/3

    9x - 30 = 15x + 5

    - 35 = 6x

    x = - 35/6

    If you mean: 3x/5 -2 = x +1/3 then the value of x is -35/6 or - 5 and 5/6

    (3x)/5 - 2 = x + 1/3 => multiply both sides by 15 to get rid of the denominators:

    9x - 30 = 15x + 5 => subtract 15x from both sides:

    -6x - 30 = 5 => add 30 to both sides:

    -6x = 35 => divide both sides by -6:

    x = -35/6 => answer

    learn to use parans, this is very ambiguous

    what do you mean by "in depth"?

    first guess

    (3X/5) – 2 = X + (1/3)

    multiply by 15

    9X – 30 = 15X + 5

    9X – 15X = 5 + 30

    –6X = 35

    X = –35/6
