How to prepare for winter storm ?
I live in VA and it is supposed to hit us bad supposedly and I don't know how to prepare. my parents aren't really taking it too seriously but hey you never know, I was planning on picking up some last minute items that could be of help if things would go south. Any advice? AND WHY IS THERE NEVER ANY MILK OR BREAD WHEN A STORM IS APPROACHING lol Thanks in advance.

In case of power outage.
1. Get food that can last for a week or more so canned foods is a must. It won’t spoil if there’s no power.
2. Have plenty of candle jars and a way to light them. Candle jars are safer than candlesticks. It’s also a way to warm up the house. Be in a small room and light a few candles to generate light and warmth. Just be sure to blow it out before you sleep.
3. Flashlight to help you see in the dark.
4. Battery powered radio.
5. Battery bank for your mobile phones.

1. Have plenty of water in the house.
2. Have a blanket in the car in case you need to travel and the car breaks down or something.
3. Shovel to dig out of the snow.
