HELP I want to recover a Word document which I've deleted from my thumb drive :((?
Tried all kinds of recovery software and managed to recover the file but the file is corrupted and can't be opened...
Tried repairing the document using MS word function & other repair softwares but to no avail...
Anyone has any idea of what else can I do? ><

That file is long gone. Unless you happened to have backed it up on a different drive.

never try repair. recover it again. if it has actually had its contents altered then it is gone. you could try looking for the last edited version on whatever pc you edited it(or if that was on the stick then look there for it) it will be a ?????.TMP file the creation date should give it away. Every time you put the stick in a pc and write to it in any way it will use the free space which may include the contents of the file. so therefore never ever repair the stick otherwise the file used to repair into will probably just eat the data from the found file data. Always use a re-compose software that READS the SOURCE DISK DATA and recomposes it somewhere else like your hard drive. Different versions of WORD may keep different file copies in different folder paths. eg C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word you may need to VIEW hidden files/folders to browse it. Typical recompose software - Transcend RecoverX.
