Why don’t Americans assume I’m Hispanic or Mexican? My native language is Spanish?

    Possibly because your nose has a very Romano Jewish appearance.

    Because you can't tell a person's native language by just looking at them.

    Um...Spanards (people from spain) speak Spanish. Mexico is but ONE of a hundred countries that speak Spanish.
