Why is my car stalling and starting back up?

The past few days my car has been stalling while I’m driving it, usually when I come to a stop, but after this it starts back up, I was told that it is unlikely to be the battery or alternator since it does indeed start back up. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? And if so do you know how much it would cost to get this fixed? My car is a 2004 Chevy Aveo

P.s. it has been usually cold for the past month if that helps

A couple cheap possibilities that might save you hours of head scratching. The fuel pump relay and crankshaft position sensor can cause that exact problem and they are relatively easy to change. I'd do one at a time and see what happens

My car would stall and start back up. I needed a new ECM.

There are dozens of possibilities. Have the OBD2 codes pulled for better than guessing. If you know your way around a tool box, you might have a look at the condition of the spark plugs. The Aveo is a Daewoo with Chevy badges on it. The material and build quality is below average. It can be fixed, but you have to decide how much you're willing to spend.

It could be the ignition coils. There's one in each cylinder and they cost about $120 plus labor. Of course the spark plugs themselves could be it too.

There's not enough information to diagnose the problem. If it runs fine when the motor is cold, and then acts up when it's hot, then it is probably a sensor. Have you pulled the codes. Electrical problems can be a pain to troubleshoot. Good luck.
