Unless you're trying to purchase liquor or smokes, or any other age-restricted items, no one is going to ID you. People don't get ID'd at restaurants UNLESS they're buying alcohol.

Two points:

1. Why would you be asked for ID in McDonalds unless you were in Europe (we can get beer in MaccyDs here) But no one here really cares about ID

2. No one has the right to insist on you showing them ID (not even the Police) you are perfectly within your rights to refuse. You can't be arrested for that.
