Did the steroids really make my sinus infection better, or is it temporary?

I had a very painful, possibly worsening sinus infection. I started to feel better within a few hours a steroid shot. Today I have a minor headache, but nothing like before. Is this just a temporary boost, or did my body actually fight off the infection.

    Steroids reduce inflammation and can make you feel better.

    If you have an actual bacterial infection, you need actual antibiotics.
