Why Do People Whine About Paying to Feed Their Pets?
We made sure we fed our dog top quality food and then some when we adopted a dog, even though we were super broke. We also made sure we had money set aside in case there was any medical issues that sprung up.
So when we had to spend several thousand in a few years on our dog, even though we again, had no money, we still didn't sacrifice her diet.
So why do people whine that dog food is too expensive? Don't people factor that in when they take in their animal?
I just can't understand questions like from that fed_up person. Yeah, high protein limited ingredient foods cost a little bit of money, but you should have some funds set aside for your dog, and if you knew about nutrition in the first place, and the animal's needs, you should have made sure you could afford to feed your dogs quality foods, or waited to get another animal. I'm so sick of people saying they KNEW their dog would require Orijen but it's so unfair because it's pricey. Capitalism bro

While you're whining about people whining lol.
Never heard anyone whine about this. I don't feed my dog biscuit as it's not a natural part of their diet. She gets mostly meat and raw bones to chew on. Tripe - that stuff stinks the house out but she loves it.
Keep her on the same diet and she's sixteen and still going strong - on no meds at all.

It can be frustating when you have a dog that has special dietary needs... Its hard to find brands that work... And then many of those brands are significantly more expensive than other brands that are of equal quality.
NO ONE wants to spend more money than they have to. I saw the question you were talking about. The person isnt whining about paying to feed their pets, but hes trying to find a more affordable way to do it, while keeping their individual dietary needs in mind. Arcana and zignature are fairly expensive brands.. But not necessarily any better than another brand.
I suggested a limited ingredient brand, and advised that he may have to buy separate brands for each dog. But if even ONE dog does well on a cheaper brand, that will reduce his feeding costs.

Dogs are Haram (forbidden) in Islam because they are creatures that belong to the Kaffir Mushrik from the Ya'juj Ma'juj clan. They should all be destroyed.
Sahih Muslim 5511 - The Messenger of Allah ordered that the dog be taken out, skinned alive and cut into pieces, and boiled in oil for a feast, and then the Angel Jibreel came and consumed the flesh. The Messenger of Allah said: ‘You made an covenant with me and I waited for you but you did not come.’ He said: ‘I was prevented by the dog that was in your house. We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image. Since you have slaughtered this animal, I shall come inside your house’”
Sahih Muslim 4018 - It was narrated that Abdullah bin Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah used to order that dogs be killed, and I went throughout Al-Madinah, until we did not spare any dog but we killed it, to such an extent that we would even kill the dog of a woman belonging to the desert people.”
Sahih Muslim 4016: It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ordered that dogs be killed.
Sahih Muslim 4018: It was narrated that Abdullah bin Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah used to order that dogs be killed, and I went throughout Al-Madinah, and we did not spare any dog but we killed it, to such an extent that we would even kill the dog of a woman belonging to the desert people.”
Abu Dawud 2839: Narrated Abdullah ibn Mughaffal: The Prophet said: Were dogs not a species of creature I should command that they all be killed; but kill every pure black one.
Sahih Muslim 3814: Ibn Mughaffal reported: Allah’s Messenger ordered the killing of dogs and then said: what is the trouble with them (the people of Medina)? How dogs are nuisance to them (the citizens of Medina)? He then permitted keeping of dogs for hunting and (the protection of) herds. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Yahya, he (the Holy Prophet) permitted the keeping of dogs for (the protection of) herds, for hunting and (the protection of) cultivated land.
Sahih Muslim 3812: Ibn Umar reported that Allah’s Messenger ordered the killing of dogs except the dog tamed for hunting, or watching of the herd of sheep or other domestic animals.
Sahih Muslim 5246: Aishah said: Jibril (Gabriel) made a promise with the Messenger of Allah to come at a definite hour; that hour came but he did not visit him. There was a staff in the hand of the Messenger of Allah. He threw it from his hand and said, "Never does Allah back out of His Promise, nor do His messengers." Then he noticed a puppy under his bed and said, "O 'Aishah, when did this dog enter?" She said: "By Allah, I don't know." He then commanded that it should be turned out. No sooner than had they expelled it, Jibril came and the Messenger of Allah said to him, "You promised to visit me. I waited for you but you did not come." Whereupon he said: "The dog kept me from coming. We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.”
Sahih Muslim 5248: Maimuna reported that one morning Allah’s Messenger was silent with grief. Maimuna said: Allah’s Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah’s Messenger said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me tonight, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises, and Allah’s Messenger spent the day in this sad mood. Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He commanded and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it at that place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. Then on that very morning he commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields or big gardens.

People whine about all sorts of things. I've not really heard this one but I am sure it exists. People are "entitled" to a pet, and then complain about all sorts of things when the dog needs a special diet, or vet care - after all if the vet "really cared" they would treat the pet for free. The basic rule is one some people ignore or take issue with - and that is with a pet comes the financial responsibility for that pet. It is OUR responsibility not the vet's.
