Why don't teen guys like classical music?

The short answer is because their has been changed by listening to so many low level pop music. Those music are too simple and without any value. In fact they are anti-values, so it's no surprise they can't understand classical music.

the buzzards I hung with and the girls all liked the rock scene,a lot of that music I play loud & blasting,also classical jazz,folk from a dozen nations

some do,but keep it under their hats,to avoid disapproval from peers

I'm a guy and I have liked classical music since I was 10. (I'm 70 now.) The first record I bought for myself was Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite.

As to "why", I'd guess it's mostly because they are not exposed to classical music, so don't even get a chance to like it.

Some do. I was the only one in my crowd. Some converted years later.

There are teen guys who like classical music and who are not interested in video games. They're probably not in your crowd.

A lot of teens do like orchestral music, just not so much classical music.. Orchestral Gaming soundtracks are a very big thing with the youngsters.

Listen to the Halo soundtracks for example, particularly Halo 2, 3 and ODST. Or the Elder Scrolls soundtracks (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, etc). Way better than any Mozart or Bach.
