Senior citizens, is it Ok to answer posts after a BA has been issued?

If it weren't okay, there wouldn't be the ability to answer after BA has been selected.

If you are still listed anywhere at the top on the boards, that tells us how often Yahoo updates these days and the lack of activity on Yahoo Answers. Pretty much all that's left on Y!A are stupid trolls, not good clever trolls like there used to be.

Going from green to blue was the beginning of Y!A's downfall. There were a couple good features added, but the perverted blue Anonymous feature was their biggest mistake.

Yes it is OK. I do it sometimes myself but, like you, I wonder if anyone ever bothers to check for new answers after BA was awarder. It seems that the question is no longer being cared about. I posted a question a while back asking why some people chose BA almost immediately after posting a question. I now think the best answer award should be eliminated all together. No one even cares about the extra points given for BA and the questioner almost ALWAYS picks an answer that conforms with his own opinion.

It's the trolls from other sites that aggravate me. Especially people that come to Seniors section with stupid religious opinionated questions like, "Are atheists going to bla, bla, bla!" But glade you are here and have a good day daisy!

Yes, especially if your answer is better than any already posted.

the purpose of the site is not to give the answer to the asker, but to be a database for people who are looking for the answer in times to come [now if only the answers-search would work, then people wouldn't have to repost questions that have been asked and answered already]

Sure. I do it all the time even though I know the asker may not see my answer.

It is okay, but the person who posted it might not come back to see the additional answers.

Daisy, it seems you are one of the contributors to the Seniors category for a number of years. Most of the old time members have found another gathering place on the web. If you know about it would you ask them to invite me to join them. The seniors category here has been trashed as you well know.

Unfortunately the best answer Leaderboard has not been up-dated for about a year now and no points added at all.

Things have improved "marginally" since Verizon took over Yahoo but its still not anything like as good as when it was the old Green formula.
