Senior Citizens, why are some hiding behind private accounts and anonymous names?
It makes me, from past experiences on here, not to trust those. I am looking, but how can one get to know someone?

8 AnswersSenior Citizens1 year agoSenior citizens, what is really meant by the saying "Golden Years"?
Is this just a saying to try to let us forget our aches and pains and the stress of bodily aging?
11 AnswersSenior Citizens1 year agoSenior citizens, do you still go 'all out' for Christmas..decorating, gift giving, etc.?
The last few years I haven't even put up a table top tree. With my family gone, I just don't feel energetic enough for the effort.
20 AnswersSenior Citizens1 year agoSenior citizens, is it Ok to answer posts after a BA has been issued?
I did a while ago to a post asking how often do people come into Answers. I hope it's alright as I know things have changed in there.
I did answer next to never anymore. I'm surprised I'm still on the top answers board. I used to be on here daily with a lot of online friends, but 1 or 2 trolls made things hateful and petty. So I started a FB group of 40 seniors from this site almost 6 years ago and it is very successful and going strong yet.
The only reason I'm on here today is because FB is all screwed up today.
No one will be reading this now that BA has been issued, but I give a Hello to all the old timers that remember those days.
Best wishes...

3 AnswersSenior Citizens3 years agoSenior citizens, how many houses still use coal furnaces for their main heating?
Are there any left? Why are we still mining coal if not for heating?
I remember from my childhood, the coal truck backing up to our house and placing a chute in the basement window, to push the load of coal for our furnace. But that was so very long ago.

11 AnswersSenior Citizens4 years agoSenior citizens, what has changed that makes kids kill themselves now?
I have a question.
Bullying has been around in every era since day 1. Nobody is more cruel than kids to each other. We've all had some growing up, plus setbacks, disappointments, and some, even worse with abuse at home.
We didn't commit suicide no matter how bad it got for us.
Why is it different for the kids now?

27 AnswersSenior Citizens4 years agoSenior citizens, what are some ways to keep warm this winter?
Here in WI, there is a light chill in the air now, and those high electric bills are not fun to receive later when cold really sets in.
Is it better to turn the thermostat down at night or leave it where it is?
