Be like this guy, took one breath at 0:18 in this 04:00 minute song, and it was enough.

I'm studying classical singing, so we aren't doing the same exact things, but I read a couple of things in books that might interest you.

I assume breathe management is almost identical?

    Essentially, your ribcage should expand.

Shirtless in your own home, look at a mirror. Raise your arms, and attempt to raise your shoulders as well (so that your shoulders are touching your ear - keep your head straight).

Your rib cage SHOULD be expanding (you'll notice it especially along the bottom of your ribcage if you're looking at yourself in the mirror, it should be expanding upwards, and on your sides you should feel it expanding outwards)

Put your arms down, but try and maintain that same ribcage space

As you speak phrases, you essentially apply pressure to keep this space "open" (not collapsing your ribcage inwards). Try yelling, and notice if you apply pressure anywhere in your abdomen/chest/pelvic floor (not your junk, maybe like 4 inches down of your belly button. "Support" for breath management is usually described as a pressure occuring between the solar plexus (where your rib cage meets, middle of your torso, and this pelvic floor).

    ---

One book I read suggested placing your hand or a mirror in front of your mouth, and said if you feel a lot of air, then your wasting air as you produce consonants/vowels. (too breathy). Same thing if the mirror fogs.

Also mind your posture, I mean you're a rapper so it's not like you stand erect like a recitalist, but the sloppier your posture the more difficult it can be to maintain good vocal production/breathing. (e.g., bending in such a way to keep from taking a deep enough breath, tilting the head/bending the neck putting a strain on the throat).

Spend more time in areas with clean air, such as forests and mountains. This will help strengthen your lungs
