is it okay to let people pay and pick up stuff at your work that you have sold to them on marketplace?
i am wanting to sell stuff on marketplace and let people pick it up. i was wondering if it would be okay to sell the item on marketplace then tell the person they can meet me while i am working to pay for and pick up the item. is this unsafe?

It is stupid, unless you don't mind being fired.

Ask your employer; not us. My employer wouldn't let us do that - we weren't even allowed to have packages sent to us at work because we'd be put on mailing lists and the office would become inundated with catalogs and advertisements. Have people pick up their items either at your place of residence or in a public space after work; e.g. restaurant, mall, etc.

I don't think your employer would allow it. It would look like the place where you work was selling the items, and the buyer could sue them if there was something wrong with the "stuff" you sold.

Not particularly unsafe, but I can't imagine it would be okay with your boss.

If I was your employer I would tell you you are working not using your workplace as a pick up address........ you are likely to be sacked.......... either post or meet in a public place, get paid in cash only and give the goods to them

If you want to expose that part of your personal life, then go for it. I would personally meet at a public place, but that's just me.

In addition to the risk factor, how will your employer feel about you conducting personal business on their time? That will get you fired at most places.

Not unsafe, but super unprofessional and your boss probably won't find it cool at all.

Not very professional. Have them come to your home or meet them at some public venue.
