Is there a way to view or request my high school's income and expenditures. I can view the ones for my school district, not the high school.?
My schools is very underfunded and feels behind of all of its peers. I have been to many other high schools, and I can tell you that there is little to no money in the actual facility or the classrooms. I just want to know how much money my school receives and where they spend it.

It should be easy to find out if your school is a Title I school. That's the federal law that supplies extra money to schools with a large percentage of students from poor homes. The idea is that the parents can't afford to provide things like computers at home, or to raise money for the school the way affluent parents do, so the federal government subsidizes the state money (which is allocated equally to schools, based on enrollment.) Things often work out in a contradictory way. I know a school that is NOT Title 1 because about half the students are middle class, so they didn't get the money that put smart whiteboards into all the Title 1 schools. Instead the PTA had to hold fundraisers and it took much longer than it did for the other schools.

Your school district's budget, including assets, income and expenditures, are all public records. That's because they're funded by taxes from the public. So you should be able to see their financial report by asking at your district administration office.
