Why has my periods stopped?

I havent had a period in about 5 months now and I'm not pregnant. I've had an abdominal ultrasound which showed a small cyst on left ovary and scarring on my right one. My thyroid was also checked and it was normal not really all that stressed either so what else could be going on I am 23 and always have had regular periods prior

    Are you under or overweight? Stressed? On any medication

    Because you have a cyst on one ovary and scar tissue on the other.

    They cannot release hormones normally when they are damaged.
