The paths are not even either and nor are the majestic mountains easy to climb, or rough seas easy to fathom or traverse across. In this life, everything that has some value is so hard to come by and yet so easy to lose; everywhere a quagmire everyone a riddle. The people, yes, the people, they are the worst, unwise, uncaring, selfish and foolish; a kind of foolishness that would take more than a lifetime to correct. The inveterate liars, the people, the compulsive deceivers, the very incarnation of laziness, indulgence and sins.
This place, this world is, is just as strange as it is bad, full of disasters, epidemics and havocs of global proportions. Global warming, human population time-bomb, terrorism and wars, scarcity of resources and inflation of green, the technological jungle, the smart prison cells, the birth of artificial technology and we will be its pets, the experimentation with the human physical form, genetic manipulation, engineering, and the ultimate abandonment of humanity. All these, and what is left, remains in the anticipation.
I see this and much more. I find world quite unsuitable and unfriendly place for me, and life, quite simply a torturously lengthy process leading up to certain death. But this is all I have; the paths however hard to travel by are the only paths there is, and the mountains, if I find them dangerous to climb, are they not awe-inspiring and majestic, marvels of nature. The paths, the seas and the mountains of my world, and the people, including myself, of my life, are all I have, as I have myself.
I look at life and find it unreasonable, cruel, and unfair, but when I see life as it is myself, I find it quite something to be kind, quite something to be forgiving, and quite a challenge to remains friendly and fair. I am the life, that I live. And what I find missing in life, missing in the world around me, is hidden within me. I am to be the answer to the question of my life, I am the solution to the riddle. I am the one who is to make rough paths even, it is my spirit the climbs mountains and fathoms the deep. If I am not the life I am, then, life is unfair.

I think as little kids we are generally taught to be "fair" and the adults in our lives try to make things fair for us. Then it's a shock and disappointment as we get older and discover unfairness in the world.

I don't it's possible for life to be "fair". Should life only be "fair" to humans? What about all animals and plants? We're looking at life from a subjective egotistical perspective. When we look at life more objectively, we'll realize that life is non-dualistic. There's no objective right or wrong, good or evil in the universe. Those are just made up concepts to justify our actions. Life just is the way it is. We're all part of the same universe.

You are right its evolution the strongest or best survive, its unfair on those that are born with less ability but it doesn't mean they should die because they may have more in other things that could help us all , then you have the cheats that are unfair that is the anomaly they are not the best they cheat and slowly the world is full of runts one trick ponies that know it all and then there becomes none evolution

You're right, life -isn't- fair. But it is in human nature that we wish it to be. We favor fairness over unfairness. So as a society we should do all we can to make things fair. This is why we have laws against fraud, why govt. regulation must maintain competition in a free marketplace, why the Constitution mandates equality before the law, and about a dozen other things I could think of if I wanted to take the time.
The words 'Life isn't fair' are most often heard after an unfairness has been committed. When someone cheats someone, and the victim complains, he says 'Life isn't fair.' When a cop shoots a black guy in the back, who isn't even suspected of anything, racists say 'Well you know, life is unfair.'
(Thanks. I feel better now.)
