Yahoo Answers is in a permanent state of broken. It only varies on a day to day basis as to what parts work, and what parts do not.
Just today, after I refreshed my YA page, I was down three answers and three points. Stuff just... vanishes around here with zero explanations.

t happens to me from time to time usually after a Few Page Refresh's it comes back up give that a Try If that does not Fix the Problem then it may be Down at the Moment and you will have to wait for Yahoo to Fix It

If you are on a mobile, try desktop mode. Notifications goes down now and then. When you see red, that is normally associated with reaching your Q/A limit for the day or too long a question.

I can click on Notifications (in the upper left of the screen) and it's working fine for me.
Not sure what message you're trying to submit, but if you're having problems chalk it up to a glitch. Congrats on the BA. About the only things that work consistently here these days are the abilities to post questions and to post answers.
