2006 honda cbr1000rr. My clutch lever doesnt completely disengage from the motor when I pull it back. How do I adjust this?

    Download a manual, that will tell you precisely how to do it and what the recommended distances of travel are. Also check that there is nothing fouling either lever or the cable (at both ends).

    To adjust the clutch cable properly loosen both the top and bottom adjustment screws, take about 3/4 of the slack out with the bottom screw first than fine tune with the top one. May take a couple of tries so be patient.

    If adjusting doesn't help then a new cable is needed.

    There's an adjustment on the clutch handle, and possibly another on the lever at the other end of the clutch cable. You just need to tighten it!

    This is important because if you don't completely disengage your clutch you'll wear it out pretty quickly. And, conversely, if it doesn't totally engage while you're riding, that will wear it out fast too!
