if Freddie Mercury was still alive, would he still have a good career?

Hi, I am 18, a guy. I'm not gay but I grew up listening to them. I think Adam Lambert is great. he sounds a lot like Freddie. but what if he were still alive? would Queen still have a good career?

I am sure he would. It also would have been great Freddie singing with John Lennon

He would be pretty darn old now! I heard quite a lot of the Queen songs and there just isn't a lot of them that glorifies being gay or for that matter any kind of sex. They just wrote good music I can't complain.

Queen would possibly be even bigger, and the other big bands that came along before them or around the same time such as "The Who" + "AC/DC" + "The Rolling Stones" are still dragging themselves along despite hitting 70yrs old and over.

If you compare attempts by other accomplished stars who've come along since such as Adam Lambert + Robbie Williams to cover songs by the band with how the songs were performed by Freddie himself, you might notice on the bits of the songs where a word has been stretched out into a long note that they have to bail out of it way before Freddie.

Absolutely. Freddie was a dedicated performer who knew what his audience wanted.
