    Linux.

I don't want to get trapped in the Apple ecosystem, and Windows is just too much of a pain to keep running smoothly.

My Linux computers just keep working, trouble-free, once I get them set up. I still maintain a few Windows machines; they take far more of my time to keep stable than the Linux boxes.

WIndows for regular computer use. If you're a nerd and/or a programmer, Linux. Set Macs on fire.

    Linux

I never have to worry about crashes, or malware. I can leave my computer on for months without an issue.

Mac if you don't know computers but like them. Windows if you think you know computers but not necessarily like them. Linux if you really are good with computers, lots of them.

That is like asking: Ford, Chevy or Dodge??

It is a matter of personal choice.

Mac if you are in school.

Windows if you are a regular person, want to run games and tons of programs.

Linux if you are a geek and don't mind spending the next year or two learning a computer language that may, or may not become obsolete later on.

I learned 7 computer languages back in the late 70's and early 80's. Totally useless to me now.
