Well, if I found him to be over possessive I would talk to him and explain that I don't like it. If he refused to change, I would consider leaving him. If he was either physically or mentally abusing me, I would ask him to stop. He probably wouldn't stop, so then I would leave him. Even if I loved him and he had good sides to him, I would not continue as there would be someone better out there for me.
