Why does school feels like a prison?

I think school is a waste of time. I recommend starting your own business... You will get much farther in life, and be happier.

It feels like a prison within a jail within a gale within a whale within a white free Protestant maelstrom.

My gosh, what a way to die. School cancer.

It is because it is not about getting an education, as much as it is about ramming discipline and control down your throat. If you read a book your interested in, or watch a documentary and learn in your own time; or pursue an interest (like astronomy, fishing, swimming, or science) in your spare time, you don't get detention or have to write tons of drivel about it and recite it a billion times etc. It is way more pleasurable and you will wanna do it more.

School is not about learning, it is about doing as they tell you to do!

The Public School system is run by Marxist theories.

That’s how it was designed. When America decided to create public schools, ambassadors were sent around the world to see how other countries did it. The model they chose was the Prussian model. The Prussian “schools” were child-soldier training camps.
