Is it possible for a set of data to have a mean of 1 and median of 100? What about a mean of 100 and median of 1?

    Yes

    data set with a mean of 1 and median of 100: -297, 100, 200

    data set with mean of 100 and median of 1: 0, 1, 299

    Yes, it is possible. For example, -98, 100, 101. The mean is = 1, the median is 100.

    For the second case, look at 0, 1, 299.
