Why is science so scientific recently?

When you say ''more reasonable'' do you mean ''easier to understand'' ?

As in .... ''Less big words'' ?

That's what scientists do .. they use big words .. they use ten words when ordinary people would only use one or two.

It makes them feel superior to the rest of us !

One thing that has most definitely changed is the questions posed here are increasing in their asininity.

Science is obviously bound to be scientific as scientific is the adjective that means to do with science.

Science comes from the word "sciens", the latin for knowing.

It ws based on the idea that we could LEARN, and how we can learn. SO, it has always been about the methodology. The methodology is based on reason, so science is always reasonable.

However, some thiings we have learned are counter-intuitive, which makes them seem "unreasonable".

After reading that now I'm baffled, although for a different reason.

scientific IS reasonable.

Why would you think they are opposites?
