What should I do when a Garbage truck hits my car?
It was trash night and,my car was parked on the street because my driveway had a dumpster in it. I'm remodeling my kitchen. When woke up around 7:45am to let the workers remodeling my kitchen in, and to bring in the trash bin, I notice the damage. I had scratches and two dents at the back (drivers side), and my driver's side window is knocked out.

If you are absolutely certain the garbage hit your car, report the matter to police and the local council. Also, get advice from your insurance company so you know exactly what necessary steps to take.

You should first call the police to file a report. Proving a garbage truck did this might be an issue. But if you can prove it then at least your insurance company knows who to sue.

The city or the business, if private, have insurance. Perhaps you should report the issue to the police to get things started.
