The Cincinnati baseball team is named after a color
Chicago and Boston both have teams named for the color of their socks
And the Green Bay football team is apparently named after a moving company.

'Fans' who don't bother to learn their sport's history are the stupidest fans ever. For many, many years, an elephant was the franchise mascot. In 1965, when the team was in Kansas City after moving from Philadelphia where it was founded, then-owner Charlie Finley changed the elephant to a mule. The story was that he was a big Democrat and the elephant is the symbol of the Republican party and the donkey the symbol of the Democrat party. In 1988, the elephant went back on home and away jerseys and is still the team's mascot.
