I scared away a mama bird and I m scared I just killed its egg.?
I have a dove that has been laying on her nest for about 4 days and I have been observing her but today I went to check on her... I guess I scared her because she flew away and left 1 egg in the nest. I saw she flew to sit on a powerline not to far away but 30 min later she was gone from her nest and the power line. Will she come back or did I just kill a baby bird?

Takes more to scare away a mama bird than you think, she will be back. Just be considerate when checking, don't overdo it.

She'll come back. She just went somewhere for lunch. I have six of them eating on the back porch right now.
