What college major would building holographic phones and other super advanced types of technologies be in?

Physics and Computer Science/Computer Engineering are both excellent. Whichever you choose, make sure that you take good basic courses in the other field as well. Probably the cross-over courses will be required by your degree program anyway. Good luck
