How do I fix minecraft? Error message and more info included below. Help?

The game crashed whilst rendering overlay

Error: duh: Unable to fit: minecraft:burning_skull - size: 64x64 - Maybe try a lower resolution resourcepack?

I've never downloaded a resourcepack, so I don't think that's the problem. The latest update was working for me last night, but when I went on Minecraft just now it wasn't working.

I tried deleting and redownloading it, but it hasn't worked.

    I had the same problem all I had to do was restart my laptop.

    just delete the install folder in %appdata%

    then reinstall
